I went on a short hike this morning with a couple ladies from church and thought I'd share a few photos. I've not been hiking since last fall, and I really enjoyed walking about in the woods again. It's good to get out of suburbia!
My only wildlife spottings were a very small snake, squirrels, and chipmunks. I'm not counting the horse flies and other pestery bugs. (The horse flies were in abundance because this trail was open to horses. We did not see any, but there was ample evidence of them.)
The river was very pretty, cascading down the slope. It cooled the air above it noticeably, making every little footbridge crossing it a place worth lingering.
