Scary Mirrors, Scary Arms

Those 360 mirrors Stacy and Clinton use have nothing on DaVinci's octagonal mirrored box.

It was morbidly fascinating seeing myself from all those angles.  I had no idea just how fat my arms had become.  I mean, I see my face and belly every day, so I'm aware of how they've changed with the excess weight, but I'd not seen my arms from that perspective before.  Wow - gross!

I'm wondering if I put these photos in the kitchen if that would motivate me to stay away from the pistachios and tortilla chips and stop baking (and eating) cookies and pies.

Or, I could tape them to the elliptical.  Perhaps it would motivate me to lengthen my time on it.

Or both.

I would not change a thing! You are the one for me.

Smoke and mirrors....too many mirrors means distortion. Your shot is lovely--very creative. I was hoping to see a back shot of your gorgeous hair! I think if we concentrate on the beauty we are, our body cannot help but react-- motivating us to be healthy.

Yikes! Those are not your arms. I've seen them in person. Recently. What a warped mirror.

I saw my arms from the back once too and it freaked me out. It freaked me out so bad that I went and ate a piece of pie ! : )
I can't help it, my sweet tooth is crazy!

You are beautiful, remember the outside can change but as long as the heart is beautiful, that's what really matters and that's what people really see when they get to know you.
By the way, I love pistachios too!

Those kinds of motivation just depress me. I get that every time I look in the mirror... those mirrors would be my personal nightmare!

When I lost the first 40lbs I was astonished at where some of the fat disappeared from. Looking forward to the next 40 too.... Those photos wouldn't motivate me but hope they do for you.

You know what I think?? I may be wrong..but could that possibly be shadows causing your arms to be like that. In one of the mirrors I don't see it. Just a thought! I'm with everyone else though. Beauty comes from within and from "knowing" you through this blog...you are BEAUTIFUL inside and out!!!!!

I think those were mirrors usually found in fun houses!!!

I agree... It is what we are INSIDE that makes us beautiful! ANd remember, we are our own worst critics...

The shots are cool and I think you're the only one who noticed your arms. Although in all fairness, I'd be noticing things about me that didn't make me very happy, too. LOL!!! It that motivates you, I say go for it.

I said it before and I meant it. I would never change a thing about my wife. She is the most beautiful woman, inside and out, I have ever met. If I was your mirror, I'd tell you every time you looked at me, "You are perfect, you don't need to look any more!"
