I've been trying all week to get an in-focus photo of a bird at my feeder.  Again, any tips for focusing on small things far away, please share.  This photo is quite cropped.  And zoomed.

I think you did a great job!

As for focusing being far away - you might need a tripod. That would control any shake you have.

this is really pretty! setting your focus to infinity should help.

Wow, Jennifer, for being cropped this is an excellent shot. I love it! The color, the bokeh and the bird are all beautiful.

beautiful bird feeder! I think the tripod is the only way to avoid camera shake.

My camera has a bird setting but I don't find it works as well as balancing on the windowsill and focusing on the bird feeder then clicking when the bird arrives. Bit of trial and error tho'.

I really like it, too. I would have to second the tripod comment and beyond that, I have no idea. The colors are terrific.
